How do I schedule electrical service or request a quote?
Call or text (615) 504-4421, or fill out the form on our Contact Us page. Including photos of the panel, fixture or problem area helps us give you a more accurate estimate. Our hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. We also offer emergency electrical service. If you have an urgent problem such as a power outage, sparking outlets or a burning smell, call or text (615) 504-4421 right away and we will respond as quickly as possible.
How do I know if my electrical panel needs to be upgraded?
Common signs include breakers that trip often, lights that dim when large appliances run, an older fuse box, a panel that feels warm or makes buzzing sounds, or not enough capacity for new additions like an EV charger, hot tub or home addition. Vigilant Voltage Electric replaces outdated panels and performs service upgrades for homes in Lebanon, Mt. Juliet, Nashville and throughout Middle Tennessee.
Do you install EV chargers at home in the Nashville area?
Yes. We install home Level 2 EV chargers in garages and driveways across Lebanon, Nashville, Mt. Juliet, Murfreesboro and the surrounding area. Before installing, we check that your electrical panel has the capacity to support the charger safely, and we recommend an upgrade only if it is actually needed.
What affects the cost of a home EV charger installation?
The main factors are the distance from your electrical panel to the charger location, whether your panel has enough capacity or needs an upgrade, whether the charger is hardwired or plugs into a new outlet, and whether the wiring runs indoors or outdoors. Because every home is different, we provide a free estimate after looking at your setup.
Can you connect a backup generator to my home before storm season?
Yes. Vigilant Voltage Electric integrates home backup generators so your essential circuits stay powered during outages, including the transfer equipment required to connect the generator safely to your panel. Middle Tennessee storms can knock out power quickly, so it is best to schedule generator work before storm season.
My lights keep flickering. What should I do?
If a single light flickers, check that the bulb is tight and the correct type. If flickering affects multiple rooms, happens when appliances turn on, or comes with buzzing, warm outlets or switches, or a burning smell, stop using the affected circuit and call a licensed electrician, because it can point to loose or failing wiring. If you see smoke or sparks, turn off power at the panel if it is safe to do so and call 911. Vigilant Voltage Electric troubleshoots flickering lights and wiring problems throughout Middle Tennessee.
Why did some of my outlets stop working?
First check for a tripped breaker in your panel and press the reset button on any nearby GFCI outlets, including those in kitchens, bathrooms, garages and outdoors. If the outlets still do not work, or if they feel warm or look scorched, call an electrician. Dead outlets can be caused by loose connections or failing devices that should be repaired.
Do you install recessed lighting and ceiling fans in older homes?
Yes. We install recessed LED lighting, ceiling fans, pendant and under-cabinet lighting, and new fixtures in older and newer homes in Mt. Juliet, Lebanon, Nashville and across Middle Tennessee. In older homes we check the existing wiring and boxes so new lighting and fans are supported and installed safely.
Do you install whole-home surge protection?
Yes. A whole-home surge protector installed at your electrical panel helps protect appliances, electronics, HVAC equipment and EV chargers from damaging power surges. It is often installed alongside a panel upgrade, and we can add it to most existing panels.
Do you offer emergency electrical services?
Yes. Vigilant Voltage Electric offers emergency electrical service for homeowners in Lebanon, Nashville and across Middle Tennessee. When power fails or safety is at risk, our veteran-led team responds with urgency. Call or text (615) 504-4421 to explain the problem and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.
